Embracing Easter: A Season of Transformation, Community, and Animal Totems

As I navigate the process of moving once again, after just four months in my current apartment, I'm reminded of the unexpected encounters that have shaped my time here. When I first arrived, I was struck by the sight of a coyote right outside my living room deck. Seeing it limping filled me with a sense of sadness, but over time, I witnessed its remarkable recovery, a testament to the resilience of nature.

As I pack up my belongings and prepare to leave, another unexpected visitor crossed my path—a stray dog with the most charming mix of Husky. Its presence brought a sense of warmth and comfort during a time of transition. Although initially unsure of what to do, I followed my instincts and managed to reunite the dog with its owner, feeling grateful for the joy it had brought into my life, even if just for a moment.

Reflecting on these encounters, I'm struck by the deeper connection to the natural world that they evoke. It's as if these animals were more than chance occurrences—they felt like messengers, guiding me through this period of change.

As I say goodbye to my current home and embrace the unknown ahead, I carry with me the lessons of resilience and connection that these encounters have taught me. In their stories of healing and unexpected companionship, I find reflections of renewal and a glimmer of hope, reminding me of the timeless themes of Easter.
